I have a 1993 jeep grand cherokee limited with the factory radio console which has cd and casette. The antennae raises when the car or radio is turned on and lowers when the car or radio is turned off. when it's dry I get static on the fm stations, the am station comes in clear though. when it rains all stations come in crystal clear.

thank you for helping me figure this one out.

  1. Well, if you're not having a little fun with us, water does conduct, so perhaps there's an electrical break that gets re-connected when water is present. Have you experimented in the car wash?
