My car speakers and static! What's wrong with my car?!?

Question

Recently when I play a cd or tune into certain radio stations I get a lot of static coming from my car speakers. How can I fix this?

it could be the wires there loose and and rubbing against eachother/something

try getting new wires or a new headunit all together.

if your listening to the radio it could be the reception and your not getting any good reception

and your going to need a new antenna

get a new radio.

if it is an aftermarket CD player then your ground wire is not secure behind the radio. Also make sure the remote and antennae wires are also secured to avoid noise.  There is also a ground noise reducer box availible at wal-mart. Its about $10-15.  If it is stock CD player it depends on car and could be blown speakers or a short in radio
