Hey i have a sub an 2 amps right, i hooked up the sub to my kenwood amp an the car was working perfectly then i hooked the sub up to the schneider amp and the car would start but then stall and turn off, so i re attached the kenwood amp again and the car started up an was working fine but the amp was not as good as the other one and i thought maybe it was the ground wire faulty so i re attached the schneider amp and the car done the same thing it starts up but suddenly turns off. so i thought stuff this ill wait until i can afford a new amp, so i unattcahed the sub and amp and now the car does the same thing start up then turn off even without any amp or sub in, why is this happening?? has a fuse been blown??

  1. get a new battery ;-)

  2. sounds like its tripping the power supply, like opening a relay or something.  its hard to know without knowing how its wired up, but if its the battery the car won't start at all.

theres obviously a problem with the amp-  i'd check all the relevant relays, fuses etc.

  3. yes, it does sound like you need a new battery.

this happened to my mom's car recently. We got a new battery and the problem was solved!

    Good luck
