I have an 2003 honda accord euro, with a kenwood head unit, 3200 watt hifonics 15 inch sub, 1600 rms hifonic amp. When i crank it really loud say, get the volume to 19, 20, my whole stereo cuts out. and then it restarts itself.

Does anyone know why?

  1. idk are you turning it too fast, do you have stock speakers, did you wire it wrong

oh yea i noticed you are 1600rms, yea it would be best to get an "aftermarket" battery, like yellow top or red top, my old system was just 800rms and it would dim the h**l outta the jeep, with reg. battery

  2. Take the fuse out of the fuse holder for the amplifier, and try running just the deck alone.  See if you still have the problem.

If the deck shuts off without the amp and subs playing, then you have a problem with the deck's power wiring.  Check your deck's ground connection and yellow power wire.

If you only have problems when the sub is on, then your vehicle's charging system may not be able to keep up with the system's current demand.  You may need to upgrade the power wiring and connections to and from the battery and alternator.  Check for loose, dirty, or corroded battery terminal connections.  It's possible that you will need to upgrade your alternator.

Replacing your battery with a new one might help a little bit, but it probably won't solve the problem.  Adding a capacitor or second battery won't help.

  3. maybe if your listening to a cd your subs are makeing it skip??? well that's all i can think of i would say a loose signel wire but that would only make the sub cut out 15-18" subs are the only way to go way to go i want to get a BTL fi 18" it's sweet check it out on youtube
