It will just scan through some of the local channels, and only stop at a few. I just put this stereo system in..my previous stereo did the exact same thing. So 2 stereo's that have been in my car have had this problem...And no i don't live out in the country where there is no signal...it does this no matter wher i travel...Does this mean i need a new antenna? Or what should i do to correct this problem? Thanks

  1. Yes this can be your antenna it may have came loose or cut. You may have to solder it back. Is your antenna motorized? If so watch make you that it coming up. Check the radio also make sure that the antenna is plugged in completely in the radio may be loose.

  2. its most likely the arieal.  Mine kept coming out because it was too sort, i went n got an extention from a car spares shop. stopped it coming out :) hope that helps

  3. Make sure your tuner isn't set for "local".  This will cause it to disregard weaker radio stations while scanning.

What kind of vehicle is this?
