My car tax runs out the end of this month?

i dont get paid til the 15th of Aug... how long have i got to renew my tax, & am i ok 2 drive it til the 15th or will i have to take it off the road?

legally, if you can't tax it you'll have to SORN it (assuming UK)

statutory off road notification, then keep it off public roads. when you tax it will automatically cancel the sorn. I however have in the past left it a couple of weeks and have had not been fined.

driving without tax is three points + fine. retrospectively getting tax won't get you out of any trouble with plod.
