My car that doesn't run got towed in front of my house (on the street) What options do i have? ?

What do i do? I wasn't home when it happened. shpuld i report it to the police? I know it wasn't stolen because it won't run...

a towing company cant just take your car. the police have to tell them to pick it up and impound it in their storage. So i gather it was legally towed, as a company would not take that risk.

All in all, it was your error to leave it in the street, you should of put it in neutral and pushed it somewhere safe.

If the vehicle is in the towing impound your bill is growing. you probably got charge around 130 for towing and are currently getting charged about 18 dollars a day for storage. i would contact the police and ask which company towed it, go over there and payout your storage.

i work for a towing company, and i know its a pain in the *ss to deal with that. sorry!

if it looks like it was abandoned or the tabs are expired they will tow it. get it out of tow before the bill gets bigger and don't leave it parked in the street, park it in your yard if you have to or at least the driveway.
