My car was legally parked while it was hit yesterday. I filled a report and called the police. I got the police report and contacted his insurance company. I filled the claim with his company. They said they would return my call bacjj within 24 hrs and I still have nt heard back from them yet. Are they responsible for a rental car???? The other guy also admitted it was his fault as he stated his axle broke.

  1. Give them a few more days at least because it take a little time and yes they are responsible for the rental car............

  2. GET IN TOUCH WITH A LAWYER AND THEN TELL THE INSURANCE COMPANY THE LAWYERS NAME AND SEE HOW FAST YOU GET RESULTS.NO HARM IN TRYING TO GET THEM TO COVER A RENTAL CAR FOR YOUR INCONVENIENCE.

  3. if the car was a rental.. file a report with the rental agencey they will do the rest. you are not responsible.. give them the police report.. ok

  4. WHEN EVER YOU RENT A RENTAL CAR IT IS ALWAYS INSURED!!!!DO NOY LET THEM JERK YOU AROOUND,,IF YOU LOOK AT YOUR CONTRACT FOR THE RENTAL YOU WILL SEE THE COST YOU PAID FOR THE CAR TO BE INSURED WHILE YOU WERE DRIVING IT!!!!!!!!

  5. No but if i were you i will go to court and win the money because you legally parked there and didn't do anything wrong so go to court win the money and use the money to pay the damages off (or you could just make the guy pay)

  6. Insurance companies are slow. Bug them. As far as a rental car, they should pay for it but you will have to pay up front and give them the receipt AND you have to be 25 or older for a rental.

Involving an attorney would expedite the process but they generally charge 1/3 of any recovery PLUS cost.
