I have a 1995 Chevy Blazer. I drove over to my in-laws house and it was running fine. I parked, turned it off, went inside for about 15 minutes. I came back out and it wouldn't start. Someone said it was the fuel pump so we payed someone to fix it but it still is not starting. Anyone know what could be wrong with it. We are not much of a car person as far as knowing what is wrong with them. of course it could be anything but any help would be greatly appreciated. thank you everyone!

  1. Don't listen to this guy a serpentine belt would not keep it from starting a alternator would not keep it from starting your car is not equipped with a crankshaft position sensor if its turning over the battery is good and a diagnostic machine won't work on a car that won't start. 3 things you have to have fuel, fire, and air. Air will almost never be the problem.

Check the throttle body look into it when someone tries to start, do you see fuel. Check the fire pull a spark plug wire off stick a screwdriver in it and hold it about 1/8 inch from somthing metel you should see spark trying to start it. Work your way back from their to locate the problem. As your checking you can e-mail me with questions dqrt@live.com

  2. need more info will it crank does it have spark how what is the fuel psi

  3. Does your engine crank? This problem could be many things. Broken serpentine belt, bad battery, bad alternator, bad crankshaft position sensor. Probably be best to have your vehicle put on a diagnotics machine. Good Luck!!

  4. If it won't even 'rrrrrrrr' when you turn your key in the starter it might be your battery.  Especially if you haven't replaced it in awhile.  That happened to me on a 10 minute stop into the drugstore once.  :)
