My car was sold to a junk company last year.The guy that towed it didnt give a receipt.?

ti have to show the court i dont own the vehicle no more.I cant get insurance on a vehicle that i do not have.They said i need a release statement from the people i sold it to,which was a junk place.How can i do this?

Call the junk yard and ask them to check their records and give you a receipt.

You also should have transferred the title to them when they took the car and you should have registered the sale with the DMV which releases you from any liability associated with the car.
