My car was vandalized. I called the police/ins co. The person was charged. How do fix the car w/o paying?

pay your deductable and go after the person that hit your for damages.

Use your comprehensive insurance and pay the deductible (if any).  Your insurance will go after the vandal and if they collect, your deductible will be returned to you.

Do you have comprehensive coverage on your car? If you do, you will probably just have to pay the deductible.  Your insurance might be able to subrogate or go after the person who did this to your car.

If you do not have comprehensive coverage,  you could always get estimates and go after the other person who was charged for vandalizing the car in small claims court.
