Two days ago someone broke my rear window ( around 5am) and took my navigation brain (computer box which is instoled in trunk-my car is Acura 2005 TSX and navigation is built in the car) which is almost $4000. So I reported it to the cop by the phone(They didn't show up) and informed to my insurance(Geico) . Geico told me that they gonna call me and I was waiting all day for hearing back from them but they never called me back ( I recently renewed my insurance so whenever i called them they said they are still doing some kinds of paperwork and unless they finish it, they can't give me an answer whether my car is covered or not...so I couldn't bring my car to dealer or any collison center. and my car parked in front of my house (same spot where vandalism took place) last night. AND THEN those thefts came back again last night and they stole entire dash-navigation screen, cd player, climate control and etc..

  1. First of all switch from Geico, it has the worst record of not paying on claims, disputing claims, underpaying claims, and worst yet raising rates.

So you know, they cannot raise your rates for an incident that is not your fault. If they try, please report it.

If you are having issues with this repeatedly, I would advise you to invest in a top of the line alarm system. Many have silent alerts that will send a buzz to a device you keep on your person. This will allow you to maybe get to your car and stop whoever is damaging it. Take a gun. I know some will say NO NO NO guns are not the answer. HOGWASH. Criminals love people who are not able to defend themsleves. Check with your counties Attorney general as to what is legal in your state as far as gun defense. Every state has differewnt laws and you want to make sure you have every legal right to pull the trigger. Another thing you can do is set up a high caliber vidoe system. Make sure you put it in an area well hidden but also make sure it takes clear and easily identifiable video so that the police can use it to make an ID.

But defense is your responsablity so be proactive. An state of the art alarm system is the first thing you need that includes an alert to you.

Good luck my friend. I hate a thief. I feel that every thief shoudl meet the fast moving end of a hollow point .45. And I guarantee that is what they would meet at my house and yours once you get fed up with the loss.

  2. You can't blame Geico.

Blame the low-life twits who steal.   If they hadn't been dirt-bag thieves,   the car wouldn't have been bothered.

    Oh yeah,  park somewhere else.

  3. Can you not just tell Geico that everything was taken in one incident?

  4. sit up with a pistol and wait thats what i would have done for the second night lol get a car alarm park it somewhere safer.... in a well lit area ect...

  5. Sounds like it would be smart to put a bubble near your house front( the dark dome security cameras go in). Or if you have a garage park it in there. But you might have a possible case against geico. seek professional opinion before making charges.

  6. This is comprehensive coverage. It shouldn't increase your premium because there was no fault of your own. The premium is already based on crime rates in the area you live and/or work.

  7. That's is a very complicated question and it could go either way.

    1. Yes they should have responded that same day knowing the situation of your vehicle.

    2. Also you should have done whatever it takes to secure the vehicle as best as possible meaning you knew you had insurance so you should have just had the vehicle towed to the repair shop of your choice.

  8. Well park your car somewhere else then. or call geico again.

  9. Get tough with the insurance people and demand results and tell them some BS about your lawyer and how he will be contacting them.

  10. Ya You should! TAKE THEM TO COURT! 6000 bucks is a big diff.

  11. Maybe you should lock that car up away somewhere tonight.

  12. Move or buy a gun.

  13. NOPE it is your fault for not taking steps to remove valuables from the car---a window doesn't stop a thief---removing the items stops a thief. The car had a lot of stuff--did you think it wasn't ever going to be broken into?? Your stuff is not really going to get full price--believe me--replace it if you want--the bills will be paid later--if you are lucky.  Yes they will pay but you will have higher rates. That is a fact !!

  14. 1st you can either get you a gun or a ******* bat

        or play it smart

Continue to call your insurance company until they give you an answer.. you pay them they don't pay you.. And you need to call the police once more until they come out so you can file a report..

  15. Wow...that really sucks. After this is over, maybe it's time to get rid of Geico. lol.

  16. sorry, your situation sucks but no, you cannot blame geico for the second robbery. Your premium will go unfortunately

  17. you must have some enemies

  18. report it again and again get a camera out side

  19. don't p**s of da gantsa!!

  20. Seems like that vehicle's on the high theft list for a reason.

I wouldn't worry about the second time. If Geico will cover you once, they'll cover it again. I don't think it would affect your premium. I'm sure the car already does, since it's on the high theft list.
