My car windows are too tinted....?

I just bought a Mitsubishi Eclipse, and it came with really tinted windows. So dark that you can't see the person inside at all, like its black. The rear window is like that too. The thing is MN's tint laws require 50% tinted, and I dont know if my tints are too much.

My friend says if the manufacturer of the car did the tint, than its okay. She says the way to find out if the manufacturer did it, is to see if theres a sticker at the bottom of the window.

There is a sticker at the bottom of the window that says Mitsubishi, Tempalite. So does that make my tinting legal?

I can't see very much at nighttime with my tints. What should i do??

If the windows came like that from the factory, it's legal. They couldn't seriously expect you to replace your windows. And that's the only way I know of to get rid of factory tint, as the tint is in the glass unlike aftermarket tint which is just a film applied to the inside of the windows.

take it to a window shop and have them "un tint" it.

you should take the car to a shop that dose tint and have em redo it. the tint is custom not factory even though the dealer may have done it

1..if factory tint its legal..

2..look at it..you can see if its the glass or a sheet of plastic on the window...

3. call Mitsubishi parts dept or better go there [ its good to make friends with them.] and give them the VIN [number on dash and on registration]...they can tell u what the factory put in

4..pull over to a cop and explain situation. u want to be legal..they have a meter to test it,,,

I would go to your local car dealer and ask them why your windows are like that and maybe can they make them lighter. Tinted windows shouldn't be so tinted you can't really see in the dark. That is a safety violation you should tell your car company about.

you can take your car to the highway patrol and have them test them.. there is a flashlight tool they have to measure the tint.. and if you are unhappy with the tint take the car to a tint shop and have it removed.

seem like you would have notice that when buying... and have you been to a tint shop and ask if they can do anything for it would be about all you shoul ddo
