Question:

My car won't start?

Never had a serious problem starting the car. Turned the car off for less than five minutes and tried starting it again. Nothing happened, no noises, no crank. After a little trying it started making a click noise when i turned the ignition key but still no crank what so ever. Headlights aren't dim at all. Looked under the hood. I have a little corrosion and one of the battery cables is loose. Is it the battery. What are the things i can do to try to get it to start?

  1. clean cables by scraping the insides of tighten cable and jump car drive to nearest shop[ or auto part store ask to have system check

  2. clean the cable ends and tighten them, if it still just clicks, hit the starter, sometimes they stick, or the solenoid is sticking.

  3. clean the battery terminals, reconnect cables and start engine

  4. Tighten the cables and try again.  If that doesn't work, it could be the battery.  Your headlights won't look dim because they use far less amperage than the starter.
