  1. if the battery is to dead, you won't be able to jump through it. get a new 1

  2. yes if the battery cannot hold a charge it wont take one and so when you jump start it all the power is trying to get the battery back up instead of trying to start it, you pretty much need a new battery or to check the terminals.

  3. clean your battery cables try again to jump it if it stil dont do anything good bet the starter is locked up but always start with cleaning the cables, battery then starter

  4. more information required like did the engine turn over did it just click did it just turn over slowly how long did you leave batterys conected was the jumping car a tonka toy with a baby battery have you had battery on charge all these things need to know

  5. batterioes that get to low wont take a jump have battery tested and if good recharge it or just replace it

  6. I agree, not enough info, as in "Did it turn over, just click, make any noise, did interior lights come on etc?"

But not to quit, I'll give a few tricks.  Make sure all accessories are off, including headlights.  Tighten battery cables.  allow the battery to charge from the booster vehicle for a few minutes.

I have not had trouble giving a boost for the last 30 years which includes the carb flooding pre-injector era, but I remember that most troublesome one:  the rear window defogger switch was stuck in the "on" position and I had to free it.

You could have frozen relay, with A/C stuck on, if it works.
