  1. First of all, get it done at a tattoo place with a needle. The gun is not sanitary and is more prone to infections. The gun takes a dull stud and forces it through your ear with blunt force. It is not something I would ever advise.

I just got mine done a few days ago, so I remember how bad it hurt. My pain tolerence is not very high, but not extremely low. It did not hurt at all. Kind of like a shot that you get at the doctor. It is scarier than it acutally is. The guy was very brief and put the hoop in (which you felt a little pressure). But if your nervous just clothes your eyes and take a deep breath- The adreline will kick in and ease any pain ;).

Make sure to takecare of it the way the tattoo artist advices you to and do your research on tattoo places near you- ask people and go to the place to get the vibe.

  2. wtf tattoo needle?? ive never heard of anyone doing that... i would say a gun.  and it actually doesnt even hurt as much as if you were gettting your regular earlobes peirced..... cartilege has no nerves.  the only time it hurts more is maybe a few days after it will be sore.

  3. It doesnt hurt that bad it goes by soo fast. I would recommend getting it done with a gun. It just feels like someone pinched you and than its over. Its worth it so dont be afraid. The only thing that doest suck is than it take such a long time to heal. It took mine 3 years to heal Im not even joking. If someone or something hit it, it hurt so bad! But now I can touch it in any way bend it and I dont feel anything.

  4. It hurts but it isn't unmanageable.  Do not, whatever you do, have someone pierce it with a gun!  It will shatter the cartilage and promote infection.

I have 2 cartilage piercings.  I used to have up to 5.  Like I said, they can hurt initially, but if you take care of it properly and let it alone, they heal nicely and then will not bother you.

    Good luck.

  5. needle, you get it done with a gun it could shatter your cartilage. doesn't hurt that much when you first do it. but for the next month it hurts sooo bad, you cant sleep on it at all.

and no she didnt say tattoo needle, she said with a needle at a tattoo place. believe me, i got it with a gun and i regret it.

  6. To be safe, get it done professionally with a needle. It's cleaner, and your ear will heal faster.

Yep, it does hurt. But it's not like BURNNN. It's like, STING for 10 seconds. Then you'll get used to it :) Well that's how it was for me, so I dunno about you.

It's worth the STING pain lol.

    Good luck!
