  1. Depending on the sevice center your file is at you most likely will not receive an approval notice for another 2-3 years. California Service Center is working on applications filed in 2005 and the Texas Service Center is working on 2006 at this moment. Applications for LPR's take longer than for USC's. You can not apply for any other visa while this application is pending. A tourist visa is a non-immigrant visa and he already has an immigrant petition pending and a tourist, student, or any other visa will likely be denied due to the I-130 petition. Once your I-130 is approved there is still more paperwork that will take anywhere from 2-? months to finish. Depending on what country your son is in it could take another year before his actual interview is even scheduled. So approximately you are looking at anywhere from another 3-5 years before he can legally come here.

  2. Move to Australia... the USA is not safe!

You need to have an Immigration Lawyer!

    The USCIS takes it time....
