she's been oozing whitish gunk from her eye for a few days. today it's watery. she has an appointment with her doctor tomorrow but i'm worried and wanted some other people's oppions before we go. she's 6 years old and has auto-immune disease that's been attacking her gums for the past 6 months. aside from that and weighing 6 lbs because of her gums she's completely healthy. my dad said 'it's probably pink eye. give her antibiotics'

  1. that is just about right, it probably conjunctivitis. good luck at the vets!

  2. My cat had similar symptoms, and it ended up being conjunctivitis.  The infection probably formed in her more easily as a result of her auto-immune disease.

The vet will probably give you some eye drops to give her, so just remember that the scruff of the neck won't hurt her and is a great way for keeping yourself from getting clawed!

:)  I hope she starts feeling better soon, and good luck!

  3. My 2 cats picked that up from strays. Look for eye drops, yes the same one we would use, that works like a dream, it'll take about 3 days to clear.
