My baby cat his name is *whiner* don't laugh... Hes black and an outdoor cat. I woke up today and i went downstairs and i pet him putting my stomach near his feet while i was on my knees and he was on the chair laying so his stomach was kind of hanging out and so i was leaning towars him petting him and my stomach hit his foot and he started growling and hissing. So i pushed back and he stood there staring at me. So U looked at his foot and stuff and i barely touched it i toched maybe a little fur and he started to growl and i looked in his eyes and he looked hurt.. really bad.. So i called my dadat work and told him and he said he would come home and look at it after work... so i fed my cat food and gave him water. I went to pick him up becuz he was having trouble and i went and attacked me =[ i didnt go near his foot. So i dont know

any ideas what might be rong? His foot is twisted badly to. what do you think happened?

  1. Cats will attack when in pain or fearful.  Make sure you use a blanket to pick her up and do not drive her to the vet without her being in a carrier or box.  It sounds like she does need to got to the vet asap.

  2. Please take your cat to the vet now.  His response means something is indeed wrong but it's hard to know through a home diagnosis.  He could have a sprain, broken bone or worse, an animal bite.  If it's a bite, it could get infected very fast.

  3. sigh...when there are problems like this why do people wait for some random online person to awnser, the cat needs vet attention!, pls make a appointment, obviously the cat is in pain

  4. vet.

cat is in pain. he will attack if you hurt him.

wrap a heavy blanket around him , like a mummy, when you bring him to the vet, so he cant attack you.

foot could be broken, dislocated, infected.

  5. It could be broken or he could have an abscess ....either way he NEEDS to see a vet !!

  6. I'm not sure what happened; he could have jumped, and his foot caught on something. You did good calling your dad. His foot is probably broken, but if he gets the proper veterinary care, he will heal. In the meantime, try not to touch your cat. Do you have a cat carrier or kennel or even a large dog crate somewhere? If you do, line the bottom with rags and such and put him in there with his food, water, and litterbox. My cat broke his foot a few years back jumping, and we did that, with a large dog crate, while he was healing with his cast on. He wasn't supposed to jump while he was healing, so make sure your cat doesn't jump until he's healed and can get veterinary care. Good luck, and (((healing vibes))) for your kitty!

  7. Well, here's a thought, take him to the vet!
