Question:

My cat and a pink teddy bear?

Our cat had picked up a strane habit. When her kittens are old enough to be weaned and start "leaving the nest," Hannah (our cat) sort of latches on to my daughter's pink teddy bear. This teddy bear is small enough for Hannah to carry around in her mouth; she starts walking around with it, and keeps meowing with this pitiful meow, almost like she is crying. Then she starts pinning the teddy down and wrestlinngn witlh it like it was one of her own kittens. It's always the same teddy bear, and this has only been with the last three litters.

What is going on?

  1. It sounds like your cat is treating the teddy bear like a kitten >.<

  2. last 3 litters?

how many litters did she have?

  3. Thanks alot for contributing to the pet problem. This year alone I have fostered 3 litters of kittens and the rescue I foster for took in over 200 pregnant/nursing cats and kittens. Your cat is going through many hormonal changes during and after motherhood.. this can cause erratic behaviour. For the sake of your cat and the hundreds of thousands of cats that are abandoned, euthanised or killed every year get your cat spayed!!

  4. my cat did the same thing with towels, socks and whatever else she could find. 2 me i think its cuz she lost a litter of kittens before

    =/
