My cat and my dog won't get along!?

Question

So I have a big Great Dane mix. Also a Calico cat who is kinda a kitten still. I've had her for about tree or more months, but for this whole time, the two won't get along! Everything I've tried has failed, because they get violent... Any tips would help!

Hi,  I have 2 american pit bull terriers.  One of them is calm while the other is a crazy boy,  I also have 5 cats.  All I do is simply pull out the spray bottle when he chases the cat and he freezes right where he is cause he HATES water.  

I used to work in a dogie daycare, the only protection you had was a squirt bottle of diluted bitter apple.  I broke up sooooo many arguments with it and  some days I would have to supervise 30 or more dogs, big and small, everything from great danes and pitt bulls to tea cup poodles and this ALWAYS worked for us.  

Any time you see the dog be aggressive towards the cat shout NO and spray him.  Works for me/us.  Good Luck and please don't (get rid) of either of them. Someday they will be best of friends.

get rid of tthe dog before it kills the cat. thats too big of a dog for that poor kitty to take on

Keep the cat in another room, with litter box, food, etc.  I suggest about a week.

The dog should become curious, and maybe even miss the cat.  It takes awhile sometimes.  They may not ever get along.  My female cat still dislikes my dog, and I got the dog over a year ago.  Be patient--eventually they will tolerate each other.  I've also noticed that some animals of the same s*x don't care for each other.

Lol I have a dog and 3 cats, my dog loves to mess with them. But not to be mean just because she needs someone to play with and gets bored. Mabey your dog needs someone else to play with? Also if your dog's being mean to you, it's probably because it wants to show you that it' boss and not you. That just needs training, because my dog does that o_0 lol
