  1. So you want to take your cat? Ask a local authority or vet.

But a cat like Fluffy sounds so adorable, I'd doubt your humanity if you left it behind

  2. You havent got a choice really ....you cant leave Fluffy behind.

Dont feed him before you leave and try and use the biggest carrier you have.

Good luck, Hope all goes well.

Sending Love over from England, I am Thinking of everyone in the US who is being effected by the hurricane xx

  3. Bring your cat just put it in a cage because I was in a car-crash because my cat was in my car a she was sleeping under the break. I would not be able to live with myself if I left my cat there.

  4. Take it you never know what might happen to it if you leave it. Specially with a p***y name like Fluffy, Christ.

  5. Take it as long as it isn't going to hinder your escape.

  6. Bring the following items: litter box and litter, enough food (dry and canned if you use both) for a full week (just in case) as well as the food and water bowls, a blanket or old towel for bedding and warmth if needed, one or two toys, and the pet carrier. The cat should go into the carrier of course. If your going to a motel make sure to let them know you have a cat with you. You may have to bribe them with a security deposit if they don't allow pets but let them know you are sheltering from the hurricane and they may let you. If your going to a public shelter I doubt they will let the cat in so you may have to contact the humane society in that area and ask if they will board your cat. If you have time to find them, try to bring vaccination records. If you HAVE  to leave the cat at home DO NOT put it outside! Leave it in the house with the doors and windows shut and locked and leave enough food and water out for it. Maybe even leave a water tap on a slow drip in case the water bowl gets tipped or drank dry. Cats can survive for several days without food but will dehydrate very quickly without water. Good luck and I hope you all make it safely through the storm.

  7. Well, hopefully you're getting out of there quickly, but yeah, you can put the cat in a cage or carrier for safety for you and the cat.

    Good luck and be safe.
