My one-year-old kitten is an absolute sweetheart, but when it comes to fishes and birds, he gets totally mad. This morning she killed and ate one of my goldfishes (I wasn't there, I couldn't have done anything), should I be worried?

  1. As long as you haven't treated your tank with any medications you should be fine.If you have used any  fish medications  in the tank recently I would check with your vet just to be safe as many medications for fish aren't safe for humans or animals.

  2. I wouldn't be too worried, just watch that he's going to the washroom as normal, if anything's up call a vet. Good luck :) Sorry to hear about your fish :(

  3. <3 She's a cat! They love fishes and are meannttt to eat them! Hakuna Matata, she'll be fine! Theres always rivalry between a cat and it's prey <3

  4. Nope. Cats eat fish and birds in the wild, and it is their natural prey. Your cat just got himself a little treat. Sorry about your fish, though.

  5. no reason to worry.

  6. no, goldfish aren't poisonous so your cat should be just fine

  7. No you shouldnt be worried for your cat just your goldfish.

  8. Nothing to worry about.  It's actually closer to what he would eat in the wild than cat food.  Only thing you'd have to worry about with your cat eating a fish is choking or if the fish was poisonous.

  9. no reason to be worried. cats were meant to eat fish, mice ect. i guess that cat had a pretty good lunch there eh?

  10. No the cat should be fine, maybe go to the vets just in case. Sorry about your goldfish though :(

  11. I wouldn't be worried for the cat, but I would be worried for future pet fish. All cats love to hunt because it is one of their basic instincts.

  12. You should definitely be worried for the fish!  : )  lol

No need to worry for the cat.

  13. Not at all, it's normal for cats to eat all kinds of fish and golfish are not poisinous at all.  I'm really sorry for the loss of your goldfish though :(

  14. Nope... good kitty snack.

But sooooooo sorry bout the fact that the fish was your pet too. :o( Next time, stick with a lidded fish bowl.

  15. Put mesh or netting over your fishbowl, NOT a solid cover because fish need plenty of oxygen.

    Your cat will be fine.
