Question:

My cat ate my house plants?

I planted some seeds for a house plant about two weeks ago, and they just started sprouting and today my cat ate the stem parts that were coming up from the dirt, I'm wondering if they will grow back, or if I need to go buy more seeds and start over again? I'm ready to kill this freaking cat cause he does this all the time. So will the seeds re-sprout themselves, or are they no good any more?

  1. The sprouts are no good and they are not likely to come up.  This is because they are damaged at such early stage.  You need to buy new seeds.

BTW, about your cat. Their instinct tells them to eat some plants when their body needs certain nutrients.  My friend's cat would eat different plants at different seasons when she took it out into the yard.  Maybe your cat is not trying to be naughty but is just taking care of its need.

  2. Some plants are poisonous to cats. Keep them up high where it can't reach them.

  3. NO the plants will not grow back they are now dead.

But like the first poster said, some houseplants are poisonous to cats so be careful what you plant.

Next time put some cayenne pepper on the sprouts, that should keep the cat from eating them.

Also why not get a plant for your cat? They make cat grass which you grow, and you can buy live catnip.

  4. Please keep your plants up where kitty can't lunch on them.  You will be happier.  Your plants will survive and kitty won't be tossing his groceries all over your house.

  5. HEY WERE THESE POT PLANTS? IS YOUR CAT TRIPPING???

MANY PLANTS CAN KILL THEM AND SO YOU GOT TO WATCH OUT!
