Question:

My cat ate part of a Mimosa pudica plant(sensitive plant), is it poisonous?

He knocked one over and half of the leaves were missing. I imagine he ate them. Will he get sick? will the plant grow back?

  1. It would probably be best to have him throw it up. I don't own a cat so I don't know how you'd accomplish this, but thats what you'd do with a human. Take him to the vet once you do that.

    As far as the plant...it's more than likely perfectly fine. Mimosa is weedy as h**l in the rain forest, about as hard to kill as dandelions are in America.

  4. LOL, your cat might get a little high. I think that Mimosa plant is ok though...according to this site it's the Mimosa hostilis that is used for making ayahuasca or dmt.

  5. All parts of this plant can be toxic and it is not recomended to ingest it. Just to be safe, i'd take your cat to the vet.
