She just pounces on them, she doesn't eat them as far as I know. Can she get any diseases from what she is doing?

  1. yea she can but all cats do it

  2. Isn't that what cats are supposed to do?

  3. She won't get a disease from eating them.  Cats naturally are supposed to eat raw protein.  Their bodies and immune systems are set up to fight what they would encounter in the wild.

  4. There's a slight chance she could catch bacterial infections and other viruses such as toxoplasmosis if she's breaking their skin, but most likely she's fine.  Try to keep her as an indoor cat and then you won't have to worry.

  5. when your cat catches their prey and eats it this can actually be healthier for her than the dry cat food you give her. The raw meat will help keep her teeth healthy...Since you let her outside she thinks she is wild..If you didn't want this to happen she should have been an indoor cat for the longer life.  Cats that live outdoors have a higher mortality rate than indoor kitties.

  6. Your cat is playing with it- Yes your cat can pick up  fleas-mites-and if eaten can get tapeworm- It is okay to let her play but keep an eye on her-I am hoping that this is taking place out side- Here is an idea-get a motorized mouse at the pet shop- Guaranteed not to have any thing that will pass to your cat except fun-
