  1. i forget the real name for it but it could be cat scratch fever i know it sounds scary and fake but it really is not that bad depending on what kind

  2. it might be - all animals carry bacteria on their teeth and in their mouths .... you should probably go to the doctor for a check up - the bite might not be the cause of your systems, but it might have aggravated something you've already had contact with .....

    :(

  3. You should be worried.  Please contact your doctor or go to the emergency room immediately!

All humans have staph bacteria on their skins.  It's not a problem unless the staph gets carried into the body and blood stream by something like a puncture wound from a cat.

You have a dangerous infection now inside your body (not from the cat, only its bite) and you must treat it right away.

  4. Well, did you wash it after you got bit?

A cat bite is like any bite, it tears tissue and it has to mend. It will get puffy.

When you need to worry is when it turns red and hot or forms a pus pocket and is tight and throbbing. Go to your doctor.

Otherwise, soak it in very warm water and Epsom Salts and keep it clean.

  5. Don't waste time waiting to get an appointment with a doctor.  Get yourself to an emergency room.  Infections can spread rapidly and the longer you wait to seek care, the worse it will get.  Hopefully, all you'll need is an antibiotic injection or a course of oral antibiotics.  But if you wait too long, you could actually require hospitalization for intravenous antibiotics.  I'm wishing you the best of luck for a speedy recovery.

  6. Could be, I hope you had enough common sense to go to the Doctor for medical treatment, but if you haven't, I suggest you do so before your arm falls  off ya

  7. If it's swelling and painful it is probably infected.  Especially if you got a bite wound that broke skin and didn't wash it.  That's pretty much asking for infection.

  8. Cat bites are one of the WORST injuries you can get.  Consider that a cat cleans themselves with their tongue and eats a lot of unpleasant junk and never brush their teeth;  ANY cat bite that breaks the skin should be immediately disinfected.  It's a lot like cutting your hand on a sewer manhole.

It sounds like you've got a bad infection already, so I advise you to get your butt down to the hospital right away.  Because of how sick you sound, you probably need a shot of antibiotics to help clear it up, because it will not heal on it's own.

Feel better and please see a doctor!
