  1. i understand. my cat had died (one year ago) and i had had it for 11 years. Take it to the vet and ask for it to be taken away. That's probably the best solution. My cat got taken away after it was put down with cancer and at the end of the day they send it -and all all the other animals that have died- and they 'crimate it' (or burn it). It's very hard to deal with -I know- and a lot of grief comes out, but in my opinion, i'ts the best way. After it has been taken, let your emotions out. It's the best thing.:)

  2. there is nothing you can do you idiot. it is you people who s***w up the world. poor baby could of had a better chance if you didnt buy her.

  3. i'm so sorry for your loss, but i think its better for you know what happened then to keep asking yourself if shes still out there.

  4. Oh sorry to hear about your cat yeah that sometimes happens as my cats have had the same thing happen but for a baby she shouldn't have been out side anyways, you'll get over the grieving process but you wont forget her.

  5. I'm so sorry for your loss. Your baby may have been hit by a car. You can choose to bury the her or take her to an animal hospital and have her cremated. If you get another baby kitty, make sure you keep him/her indoors until they are old enough to go out (preferably after he/she had all the recommended shots).

  6. Jackie and Jokerman, Stop been so childish and nasty. & I dont know what i do if my cats died either, I couldnt imagine them getting run over it'd be so sad, I know how you feel aswell, i lost a rabbit 1 year ago on august 15th and i was devastated for months, i still am now, but things do get easier, she wont be in pain anymore, she'l be in heaven, so just think of it that way, & Shes safe from this 'evil' world, it's much better for her now x*x

  7. get another one

its the best way to get over it

  8. I am really SORRY your cat died.  It might have been hit by a car.

This is a problem when you let your cats outside near a road.

I am sure you can find another one... of course it won't be the same but at least you will have someone to love.

Make sure to have it spayed/ neutered... and good luck with this one.

Again... SORRY YOU LOST YOUR CAT!

  9. Cats tend to gain road sense only after reaching 2 years old...that's not to say an older cat won't meet the same end. The only way I get over this sort of pain is to give a rescued kitten/cat a home...perhaps you could get 2 this time? They might stay at home more if there are incentives like a feline friend for them? Sorry to hear of Phoebe's death, though...each cat in the world is special...hugzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

  10. Hi, I'm really sorry to hear about Phoebe. One of my cats got run over nearly a year a go and I know exactly how you feel. The one thing that consoled me slightly was at least I knew what had happened to him, the thought of him being lost, injured or even stolen [he was a persian] would have been even worse. At least I know that he is in a better place. I would recommend either burying her in the garden or getting her individually cremated so at least she will be back at home with you - it will help a lot knowing that even though she's gone she back home.

Eventually get another kitten and I'd recommend keeping it indoors, being a kitten it won't know any different and as long as you keep it amused with plenty of toys it will be just as happy.

I've still got the sister of my other cat and she still goes outside, but one day I'm going to move house and create her a cat safe garden for her to play in.

My thoughts are with you xx

  11. OH DEAR! you poor thing

    nature happens though.

try going and rescuing or adopting another cat.

I know its hard to lose a pet but you will feel much better knowing you saved anothers life.

when my guinea pig died - he too was a baby- i was so upset then i saw an abused rabbit the next day and took her home.

she was dumped off very sickly (snuffles and pasturella) in a pet shop because after the kids played football with her a few times she wouldnt let anyone touch her.... She had big dogs pouncing all over her cage and the poor thing was terrified! seeing as they couldnt put a sick bun with the rest of the herd I went home built her a cage then went back and I took her home. Its been four years now and she has recently broke down and will come up to us and let us pet her lol

you should adopt a more social creature though lol

    HTH

    -in my prayers

  12. i'd hate my cat to die :( all you can do is cry probably and get over it eventually. i was really upset when my rabbit died but it gets easier.

    poor phoebe :( xx

  13. oh no // better get a shovel and scoop it up off the road or are you just going to leave it there .

  14. do the decent thing.

if you got the cat, go to b&q or any other garden centre and buy a rose bush. bury your cat in the garden and plant the rose bush on top of the cat (make sure that phoebe is deep enough tho then every year when the rose blooms, it will remind you of the good yet short times you had with your precious cat, phoebe.

I'm sorry to hear about the loss but its a nice way to remember her.

  15. Aw im soo sorry for you loss. Have you contacted the people who have put the poster up?

  16. write down all the good things you did with your cat and don't think negetive as it will make u feel bad

also write down wat u thought of her/he when you got the cat

    hope i've helped

  17. aww im so sorry. i would be devestaded if that happend to my cat.  i would suggest getting another cat in a couple of months and keeping it indoors so this doesn't happen again. again, im really very sorry :(

  18. Just go and buy another one.

  19. My cat died recently in a horrible way, it was chewed by a dog and died in front of me :( I had this cat since i was a baby and loved it.

i was so upset and sad, i'm so sorry for your loss i'm sure you loved phoebe loads. I know how you feel, i'm so sorry for you

    xxxxxxxxxx

  20. Awww. Sorry to hear about that, it's hard losing a much loved pet, my hamster Honey died a few days ago, I really miss her too, I know that it won't be the same but maybe get another similar to her, I've got another hamster since called Pickle, shes fluffy and cute, also it will take your mind off the sadness and loss. xx

  21. Bury it or eat it.. what else do you want with a dead cat?

  22. First of all I am so so sorry to hear about your loss.

I'm going through a similar "what shall I do" thing because about a month ago now, our dog passed away. People have been saying on a message board I visit alot that the best thing to do is move on, and perhaps adopt another dog in her memory, you should do the same with Phoebe. Adopt a cat from a shelter- save a life, and give it a home for life in memory of Phoebe.

Good luck, honey. I hope you find happiness soon. xx

  23. bury her! cry!  breathe in!  breathe out!   move on!

  24. So sorry to hear about your cat, unfortunately this is the trouble with letting cats outdoors, anything can happen! The only thing you can do is to keep any future cat indoors. Give your cat a good buriel with its favourite toy, your cat knew you loved it

  25. Let all your emotions come out, maby listen to some of your favorite tunes, not so much sad ones.  I know people tend to say listen to some sad music but that makes it worse, so listen to some dances good tunes you like, and let yourself cry untill it all comes out
