  1. First you need to take your kitty to the vet. Second check the litter box and see what shes leaving in there. If she has the poops it is safe to give her a small dose of pepto. If the litter box looks normal call a vet. Maybe she just burns a lot of calories if she's hipper. Mines a big fat paper wait.

  2. How do you not know if she eats and drinks when you're gone?  You don't leave the food out for her and then see if it's gone when you get home?

Anyway, if she's eating what seems like enough, it is possible it could be worms.  It's pretty common and not a big deal to get rid of.  But you will have to take her to the vet.  If she has worms, you'll get medication which will take care of them.  If not, the vet will be able to tell if she's dehydrated or too underweight and will help you figure out what to do.

  3. she could have worms so check her poo for signs of them if she has got them take her to the vet and make she regularly wormed. if you have to leave your cat for a long time maybe you could get someone you trust to check in on her for you . put a measured amount of food down before you go out and measure it when you get home so that you know exactly how much she is eating

  4. Take her to the vet with your concern.  You know your cat better than anyone else.  Sounds like she might have worms or other parasite?  I don't know I'm not a vet!

  5. I honestly got sick of the vet looking at me like I wasn't feeding my poor little cat.  Who I gave everything she wanted, wet food, dry food, treats.  I tried everything to see what she liked.  She just would sometimes eat and sometimes not.  Some cats are just like that.

Suddenly though at 2.5 years old she has started to polish off all of her food, eat alot of her biscuits and I am the happiest mum in the world.

I was worries about my cat too, but as long as yours is playful, has access to food and water and lots of love I wouldn't worry.

  6. If you are that worried cant hurt bringing her to the vet. But i have a long haired grey cat she is the same she is 2 yrs and only 6lbs maybe . I can pick her up w/ one hand but she is happy as can be. My other cat is 20lbs! she isnt just fat she is a big breed. You would think its because the big one is eating all the food but trust me the little one eats more. They are like people each have there own body types.

  7. try taking her 2 the vet

  8. it's probably because she's very active.  my cat is the same way, and she has been taken to the vet about being so little, and she's fine, she just plays alot.

  9. take her to the vet if you think there may be an issue. make sure she is wormed, vaccinated and flea checked as all different diseases and worms and fleas can cause weight loss. Otherwise it may simply be that she has some oriental or some other breed in her that is quite slender.

  10. Well... it could just be the type of cat. Greyhounds tend to be skinny, yet they are very healthy. I know, Greyhounds are dogs, but it's the breed I'm talking about. You're cat's breed may be the reason why it's terribly skinny. I have the same problem.

  11. Young female cats are usually skinny.  Has Cloe been spayed?  If not, that would be a good idea.  She might put on a little more weight, and you wouldn't have to worry about an unwanted litter of kittens.

If you have a litter box available for her when you're gone, she's probably eating when she's alone.  As long as she doesn't act sick, don't worry overly much about this.

  12. maybe shes anorexic

    take her to the vet

    [[=

  13. cats r like people. some people can eat alot and dnt get fat

  14. see if she's being sick.

It might just be high metabolism.

But if you're really worried check what a 2 year old cat should be eating and drinking.
