Use Bicarbonate Soda and warm water mop and wipe surfaces it will illiminate odours in no time .

well he probably sprayed and to get rid of the stink all u have to do is clean it as well as u can

This is an awful problem ( personal experience ) and you have two things to consider (1) why the cat did it?  This can be a symptom of insecurity and simply marking its property aggressively .... if it persists, then you will have to deal with it, a house with the perpetual smell of cat urine is unbearable, and (2) if it is a one off, the area needs to be treated asap .... vets have a special spray to treat such things ( after you have washed the area ) but I have heard recently that a strong solution of biological washing powder actually breaks down the urine and lifts the smell.

There's a great (all natural) enzyme cleaner on the market called Nature's Miracle for cats. You can get it at any pet supply store, and possibly even at Wal-Mart. Spray it all over the area fairly heavy, then soak it all up with an old towel (or whatever). Spray the area again and let it dry. This stuff DOES work, I've used it.
