Last night, my cat fell off my bookcase. The bookcase is about 72 inches tall. My cat is walking fine. He is not limping and he is still able to jump. He is eating and drinking . I have noticed he is having difficulty sitting up on his hind legs. He usually sits up on his hind legs when I get his breakfast ready but he tried but he laid down on his side. He seems fine but I not sure.

  1. Please just take him to the vet.  You don't know if it is something serious or not.

  2. His legs may be tender from a bit of bruising from the fall but if after 24 hours there's no improvement get him checked by a vet incase any incomplete breakage/partial dislocation of his legs have occured. An X-ray will confirm if this has happened.

  3. Go to the Vet!

  4. He needs to go to the Vet.  He could have internal injuries.  The longer you wait the more damage could be being done and the less of a chance there will be to fix them.

I hope he gets well soon.

  5. hopefully you are at the vet right now.  denying an animal the medical attention that it needs is animal abuse

  6. Sounds like he might be a bit sore. Keep an eye on him and if it doesn't seem like he's getting better, make a vet appointment.

  7. You should take him to the vet, one of his hind leg bones could be broken or fractured, even if your cats shows no signs of having problems.

  8. you know when a person's back goes out, yeah....your cat may have the same thing with his leg...i don't remember exactly what it's called, but you should try pressin on his leg andif he meows in pain, then you should take him to the vet
