Question:

My cat follows me around with his toy and cries - I play with him constantly so I don't know what he needs?

Could it mean something else beside the fact he wants to play when he brings his toy to you while being very vocal?

We have another cat too that he plays with so he is never alone even when are at work.

  1. *lol* My cat will do the same thing.  She'll pick up her sock toy (from wherever she may have randomly placed it last), then meow while carrying it to me - it doesn't matter if I'm in bed asleep or otherwise.  I put it as one (or a combination) of three things: 1) she wants attention, 2) she's trying to be cute, and/or 3) she's trying to show off by saying "Look!  I found my toy and I'm bringing it to you!  Isn't that cool?" So yeah, it doesn't mean anything bad. :)

  2. yeah some cats are very talkative and maybe he's just a super player.

  3. Parksie could be onto something... But I doubt it.

  4. Check out this page about the noises cats make: http://cat-advice.com/noisycats.html, they talk for different reasons just like humans.
