I went downstairs because I heard my cat running and thumping into everything and I saw her with a mouse in her mouth! she just had it's head in and the rest of the body was out and it was wagging it's tail. I screamed and she spit it out and it ran under the couch. Can my kitty get sick now??? =(

  1. Your Cat wont get sick, that's what cats were designed to do

  2. If cats got sick from mice, I'd have a serious problem!

My cat must catch at least 20 a day...it's great when we find them alive cus we feed them to our neighbours snake gotta love the food cycle!

  3. It's very unlikely that your cat will get sick. Cats eat mice all the time, it's nothing to worry about. Just be glad the mouse is dead and not still living in your house.

edit: Since the mouse is still alive, let your cat finish it off. The only thing worse than a mouse in the house is one that leaves a trail of blood.

  4. Unless the mouse got some kind of poison on it...which I doubt, your cat should be fine. Don't worry, cats were made to kill mice, mine always get the ones that make it into our house and they;ve never gotten sick from it.

  5. No Your Cat will be fine

    Its normal For them

Cats Play and Eat Mouse all the time

They Go Hunting Its Normal For Cats to do that :)

Cats Catch Mouse Sometimes For a gift for you.

Its Just a way to Say thanks

I get Loads from My cat :P

    So dont Worry :D

    Hope I helped :)

  6. I've never heard of a cat getting sick from eating a mouse. Some toads and lizards are bad for them, but cats are hunters: they'll eat mice, birds, moles, etc. I don't think it's anything to be worried about.

  7. If u didn't scream the cat woulda killed it and left it by ur bed as a present.  Count that as 1 present lost!!!!!!!
