Last night my cat had what appeared to be a seizure. He is eleven years old and has never done this before. Is this something that happens as they get old or could he be developing feline epilepsy at this age?

  1. its possible.. you should see a vet ASAP! hope he gets better

    :D

  2. Nothing good to report on that one.

Lymphoma and tumors can both cause seizures in cats at that age. Only other thought is if you had put an over the counter flea medication on your cat that evening. That can cause seizures as well. I know it has already been said and I don't have to say it, but your cat should see a veterinarian.

  3. Have the vet check it out. I had one that had seizures from 6 months old and we finally put him down at 8 years old when he lost control of his bladder and bowels.

  4. He needs to see a vet.  There are meds that can help, so don't let this go.
