  1. My cat will leave for up to 2 hours, but always comes back to feed them.

  2. No, this is normal.  Mom cats in the wild do leave their kittens alone more than you might think.  Mom has to go out and "catch" her food, so she will be able to nurse the babies.

Don't forget to set up an appointment for Mom to be spayed.  And, it's not too early to start finding good, loving homes for the babies.

    Good Luck!

  3. she's prolly just sick of being surrounded all day and having to lie down and let them feed.

this is good cuz she's getting exercise.

  4. they will be fine as long as they are indoors...if they are outside please bring them and the mama cat in or they will probably die

  5. no- it is not uncommon for mom to take a break- to eat, drink, use the litterbox- etc.  I'd let mother nature handle it- and she can be fixed after the kittens are weaned- or she may have another litter in a few months.  Cats are in heat, unless they are pregnant or nursing,

  6. This is normal as long as the mum is still feeding them well. In the wild mum would have to leave them for short periods to go hunting as the father's do'nt usually take much part in raising their offspring.
