My cat is really shaggy and has a hard time with fur balls so my sister (a vet) gave me some stuff called cat-lax. You put it on the tops of their feet and they l**k it off and it makes hairballs less of a problem for them.

Just leave her be - if there is a hairball there, she will expel it naturally.  You can avoid this next time by keeping her brushed and keeping the loose hair off her so she won't swallow it.  Another piece of help to the cat would be to give her some hairball remedy.  You can get this at a petstore.  There is also food and treats to help as well.  Meanwhile, just leave her alone to expel it, and if it doesn't come out, make an appointment with the vet to make sure there is nothing else wrong, or in the intestines blocking it.
