Question:

My cat has a hernia (i think?)?

Our kitten (8months) was recently fixed, I was removing the stitches last night and noticed she has a rather large lump come up under the stitches - I think it may be a hernia. There is no inflammation or sign of any infection but it is very tender to the touch. Do I need to get her to the vet asap or should I give it a few days to see if it will go down a bit?

  1. Use a warm damp wash cloth like a hot compress several times a day.

Plan on taking her into the vet IMMEDIATELY if there is any negative change & the first work day if no improvement.

This is NOT normal. It could be simple reaction to the stitches (internal) or problem w/ the internal healing.

  2. take her to the vet just to be safe if you go you may spend a couple of bucks but if you dont you could risk your cat bieng verry sick

  3. why the h**l were u removing the stitches, arnt the whole point in vets to treat animals and not their owners who dont know what there doing!
