My cat has a itch by his butt and hes freaking out what do you think is wrong?

Its quite possible your cat has a worm. As far as I know a worm can be spread to other animals as well. Im not sure if its fatal, I dobt it is, but you need to take your cat to the vet. It would be fleas or dry skin too. Keep your cat indoors...Ive had a cat with a fatal problem due to a fly laying eggs inside..so to be safe go to the vet :]
