i just found a lump on my 17 week old kittens jaw, it is where his back teeth would be, sort of on the side of his face. i took him to the vet 2 days ago for a health check. she said he had a slight sore throat but nothing to worry about, other then that he is completely healthy. he has been eating fine and is as active as ever.

it doesn't seem to cause him pain when i touch it.

i'm thinking that it could be his teeth, he could be teething, i know in humans this can cause a sore throat and swollen glands.

or maybe its a swollen gland because its fighting his throat infection.

its not massive, you only notice it if you touch it...

i'm going to my vets today to pick up an order and ill ask their advice too.....

what do you think it could be?

  1. Certainly the submandibular lymph nodes go up when there's a throat issue so it could be that but I'd ask the vet anyway. Good luck!

  3. I agree, the vet should take a look at it
