  1. My cat had a big gash right by his ear, on his head, from a fight with another cat. Same as you..it scabbed over but kept bleeding because he scratched it off. We took him to the vet and she said to dab it with a cotton ball that was soaked in hydrogen peroxide..just like humans do. After a few days it healed up very well, he actually stopped scratching it. This was pretty recently, and after several days of the peroxide he now just has a tiny little wound there. good luck with your kitty

  2. Our cat does the same thing. He  has cancer though. He picks at it and it opens and bleeds. He repairs it himself. Then it is fine. Talk to the cat and let them know it's ok to heal it themselves. and they most likely will. Or take it to a vet.

  3. I'd use peroxide to make sure it doesn't get infected, and then either put on some antibiotic ointment or just let her do what she wants. Chances are it will heal okay eventually as long as it stays clean.

  4. You need to go to the VET FIRST. Your cat may have fleas. Do not try anything on your own until you see a VET.

  5. You can try putting her in a Elizabethan Collar until it heals. Or you may try sticking a antibiotic ointment on it to help it heal faster. If it is really deep or looks infected be sure to take her into the vet to have it looked at.

  6.

Go to your drug store and get "New Skin" It's in with bandages.  Just follow the instructions on the brown bottle. It will tingle for aa few seconds or so, but then it will stop. Kitty will not like the smell or the taste, and will most likely leave it alone.   It's like a liquid band-aid.  It is also an antibiotic,  which accounts for the initial tingle.
