Four days ago i had took her to the Pet smart hotel, and took the food we feed her at home, instead of having them feed her their food. We also brought along her brothers, and they shared a cage, the two brothers came back normal, yet she isn't, and she's acting out of the normal, should i be worried..? She's been nibbling at her food, though she hasn't had diarrhea and she hasn't vomited.

  1. Some cats have a hard time dealing with separation from their familiar setting or owner. The fact that she hasn't had physical symptoms such as vomiting or diarrhea make me think she might just be readjusting. However, she might have picked something up from another animal while she was in boarding, so I would take her to the vet just to get checked out.

  2. Because it's been going on for 4 days; personally I would give your Vet a call. She may simply be sulking but 4 days with little appetite is a sign something is right. Explain to your Vet the situation and s/he be able to advise you better.

You could also try feeding her something different. Try tuna or chicken. If she eats all of this then she most likely is sulking or had enough of her current diet. Cats are picky eaters. However if she doesn't eat the tune or chicken - a Vet trip is probably the best thing to do.

  3. mutual of omaha blues

  4. she could be sulking. my cat does it after being in a cattery. she should pick up after a week. just give her lots of reassuring attention

  5. maybe its not eating because its teath are hurting? Take it to the vets as soon as you can-because the sooner you do it the better.

My cat didnt eat for about a week we didnt know whats wrong but when we took it to the vets and found out...it was too late.....

  6. The vet is your best bet.  When we had a cat that stopped eating, and he lost a lot of weight, it turned out he was really sick.

Hopefully its just a kitty tantrum...

  7. Anytime a cat stops eating & acting lethargic, it's cause for concern.  Please take her to your vet as soon as possible to be checked out.
