There was no blood in it but since she pee'd in front of my I gave her some chicken broth with some natural uti cure in it. Are these linked? She didn't stay at my feet like she normally does while I'm making dinner and she slept a lot today when she's normally with me. What's up?

  1. Nothing much, you?

I kidding. This has happened to my cat before..If your cat has diarrhea that means that the food that he/she is eating is upsetting his/her stomach.

  2. It's just her way of "notifying" you of her health problem, as she can't vocalize her discomfort.  My old cat has done this in front of me before, too, and I used to always ask him to show me what was wrong.  And he would show me the litter box.  Then I would take him to the vet.  As far as sleeping a lot goes, that's common, as she's most likely exhausted from the diarrhea, just as we, humans, would be, too.  Make sure to check if there's any blood in the stool.  If there is, take her to the vet immediately.  Or if she has the diarrhea for more than 24 hours, take her in to the vet, too.
