  1. We have a Maine Coon Cat and a Himalayan and they get their hair cut every summer; otherwise, their hair mats really bad. And it doesn't matter if you brush them everyday, some cats are more prone to matted fur than others.

There is a tiny seed pod which grows wild all over the world. I don't know its official name, but we always called it, "Beggar's Lice" The tiny seed pod is sort of sticky and has a light fuzz on it, much like a peach. They stick to your clothes, cat fur, dog fur, rabbit fur and are a real pain to get out.

There are also many wildflowers which produce seed, much like the thistle, these are also difficult to remove.

Some cats will lie underneath pine trees and will get pine tar in their fur, also a problem to get out.

Take your kitty to the groomers for a nice haircut. Don't do it yourself, there are probably not enough bandages in the free world to bind the wounds your kitty will give you. Let a professional give your baby his haircut.

  2. The same thing happens to our persian cat.  We have to keep her fur shaved, unless you want to comb it everyday, but our cat hates being combed.  It takes a while to clip their hair and you have to be careful.  Otherwise, you can take your cat in to have it professionally done, however it can be expensive.  We bought a pair of clippers for about $50-60 and we have had them for a few years now.  Good luck, your cat will feel much better with those mats removed!!

  3. It's matts.  Either take the cat to a groomer, buy a matt rake and try to get them out yourself, or trim the cat's fur.  The matts can eventually get bad enough to pull at the skin and cause an infection, so this is something you want to take care of sooner rather than later.

  4. shave that area off.

    or cut it off.

  5. put some conditioner on the cats fur.

    it will soften it up.

  6. sounds to me you don't help your cat groom.  Does your cat have long hair?  If so you need to brush it for him.  You need to cut the mattes off and probably give him a shave too just to get all the nastiness out of it.  I would even consider taking him to the groomers and having it done so all you have to do is brush him every day or every other day.  The mattes are probably p**p and dirt all clumped together and gross.

  7. u know maybe a brush and wash its ***...thats normally the idea.

  8. cut your cats hair.

  9. whats wrong with dread lox?

  10. condition his fur and then get the spray in conditioner/ detangler

    and brush him out

    =]

  11. The fur is matted. The best thing to do is to take it to a groomer and have them shave the hair off. When it grows back, make sure you brush it every day to prevent matting.

  12. Cut the fur, and brush it everyday.

  13. They are matts and your cat needs to be dematted. Go to petsmart they have a wide variety of dematting tools and shampoos and conditioners you can use to help minimize matts.  If you can't do it your self take your cat to the groomers.

  14. play some reggae and give it a spliff

  15. CUT YOUR CAT'S HAIR

  16. Shave the cat

  17. eat more tuna

  18. take it to a groomer no one likes dread lox not even on a cat

  19. its probably dingleberries

  20. well apparently your cat is long haired and they need to be groomed frequently and if you dont thats what happens, i would buzz (shave but not completly) my cat if that happened to her lolz, i cant think of another way to get rid of it, you should probably call a groomer and ask.

  21. they arent dread locks they are matts and you need to get them shaved or cut off of him/her or else it will start pinching at their skin and it will hurt the cat a lot. bring the cat to a groomer.

  22. they are matts in the fur, and it's because you don't brush your cat enough.  they have to be clipped out- carefully- and you need to start taking care of your cat appropriately

  23. the hair just gets matted together. You will need to cut the cats fur. To avoid the matting of the hair you should brush the cat every day or get the cat a trim. Good  Luck.
