My cat has just given birth when will the kittens poo and wee and when should they be using they litter tray?

  1. they will start pooing and weeing about two hours after birth, as they are fed after birth and then ever 2 hours.

    they cant go on their own until they are about 4 weeks old, which is when they start to walk. until 4 weeks, mom has to bathe them to get them to go, then she just keeps bathing and cleans it up, so you dont see it.

    when they start to walk, start placing in litter tray. and when mom uses it. and after they eat. they will play in it at first, but they will learn.

    and get a low sided box they can step into it. mom's will be too high.

    a card board box next to the litter tray works.


  2. Mom will clean them up while they are nursing... but make a sand box availble close to where her bed is located.

    She will TEACH them to use it when they are old enough!
