My cat, who will be turning five at the end of September, has never had bad accidents like this. But within one day she pooped on my brother's bed and my mom's. (I wasn't home, I was at my grandparents' house) My mom and step-dad didn't see her actually do this, but my mom claims it had to be my cat because the p**p had fur in it. We also have a small dog that we've had for two years. My mom is threatening to make my cat an outdoor cat, and when she did that with my first one, he got hit by a car within three months. I can't let this happen - please give me some advice. Thank you.

  1. If you weren't home, maybe she missed you.  Or, did anyone of them do something mean to her.  My cat uses my bed for a litter box when I

am gone for a few days so I know she is lonesome and angry with me for leaving her alone.  I cover my bed with plastic and put hangers on it when gone for more than 3 days.  It has kept her off the bed.  I too use 2 litter boxes and she uses one for p**p and the other to pee.  Works for her and for me.

  2. first, i would check to make sure her litter box is well maintained....cats want their area to be as clean as possible, or they will look for somewhere new

  3. My cat won't p**p and pee in the same litter. So we have two boxes, it looks kind of funny, but it stopped the problem.

  4. Keep litter box clean,   i clean every day, and do not use cheap kitty litter......such as johnny cat.  I use fresh step or arm and hammer.

  5. My cat has done this before, on my mum's bed a couple of times, she normally does it if she is ignored, her tray is not clean or doesn't get the right food, she is fussy. Try and find out the problem with your cat, also if you put her outside she will not understand, she will wander or get injured because she did not learn about outdoors when she was younger. Not a good idea.

  6. Are you keeping her litter box clean? Some cats will find somewhere else if the litter box is full.

  7. Without actually seeing who did it, it could be the cat or dog. Don't let your mom throw your cat outside, indoor cats should remain indoors it is safer. Keep the door closed to your brother's  and mom's room. If nothing else set up a video camera to capture the culprit.

  8. Just spray it when it poops

  9. change the type of litter you use

  10. it may be sick or have disease or rabies. or it could be in love.

  11. If the p**p was on beds, that's usually an anger issue.  Has something in the cat's life changed recently?  Are they still getting as much quality time with their favorite human?

If no changes to the amount of attention the kitty is getting, then are you scooping their litter box every day?  Have you changed the brand of your kitty litter or moved the litter box?
