My 9 year old Pastel calico is crying all the time. She has sore scabs on her back that hurt her to touch them because she crys and bites you if you touch her back. Shes alot more comunicative with us lately. like crying about everything. She eats all her food and her litter box is always dirty. i don't notice anything else. Exept i thought she might have worms because she leaves little worm things behind when she gets up but she doesn't look or act very wormy(pot bellie, eating more etc). And her f***s aren't wormy when i change her litter box. any ideas. is this a serious problem. also we don't think the scabs are from fleas because in the past if she's had fleas we've been bit to and we're flea free.

  1. If she's leaving little worm things behind, then that's tapeworm.  That means she's also got fleas, which explain the scabby areas on her back.  From the sound of it, the digs could be infected.  Cats can have worms and not look "wormy" as you've described.  Make a vet appointment for her, take a stool sample to the vet with you, and get to the bottom of her problems.  She sounds pretty unhappy and in a lot of discomfort.

  2. She has fleas.Definitely fleas. The scabs are from her scratching them and if a cat has fleas when they bathe they eat the fleas and their p**p. Then a special gift of worms. It's a nasty cycle but you need to deal with the fleas first then the worms. Good luck

  3. Good Lord take her to the vet.

  4. SHE PROBABLY HAS WORMS AND SOMETHING MORE SERIOUS GOING ON AS WELL, GO TO THE VET, PLEASE, THE CAT IS CRYING SO YOU CAN HELP IT!

  5. First of all she does have worms. There are 3 different kinds that i know of.Look them up on line and figure out what kind they are.Walmart sells the meds to fix that and its cheap.2nd of all she prolly has fleas just because there not biting u doesn't mean she doesn't have them.Fleas are bad this year and my dogs got them and we use flea control so watch out for that.I would start by getting rid of the worms and then give her a flea bath or dawn dish soap kills fleas too. Both worms and fleas can be harmful so get the meds right away.

  6. keep her inside  and makesure to take her to the vet
