My cat has schizophrenic behaviour... is this normal?

I never know whether my cat likes me or not. She sometimes greets me at the door in a friendly manner, let's me pick her up to stroke her, sometimes cuddles up to me next to the couch and licks my hand. Then other times i would just walk into a room and she darts under the bed in pure terror or runs out of the room and hides under the couch.. but then I go into the bathroom and 2 minutes later she is scratching at the door wondering where I went and sits until I come out.. then runs between my legs so I could play with her. I'm so confused! Any advice?

This is how my crazy cat plays. He hides and when I call his name he will stay unless I find him. If I ignore him then he finds me. Especially if I am in the bathroom.
