My cat has this bump on his neck?

And I really only noticed it a few days ago. its on the right side of the neck, and kind of spreads into the middle of his neck. Its kind of hard? or tough? or whatever. but as i feel around now, its kind of squishy near the bottom of the bump. Im really worried about what it is, and im taking him to the vet. but it was wondering if anyone would know what it might be? it really just became notceable a short time ago...

Does anyone know what i might be, what it was caused from, or anything?

please help!

maybe your cat got hurt while playing. did the vet ever give it a shot because maybe it started to swell but i probably think ur cats vet will know what happened.

It's probably some sort of tumor, they can appear out of nowhere. My cat had one but it was a hard lump and she had it removed. She was fine the next day because it's a quick, easy surgery. The vet might want to biopsy it to make sure it wasn't a type of tumor that spread and remove the lump. Best of luck!!
