My cat has always been a little strange, but this is weird, even for her. She hasn't left my bed for five days, as far as I can tell. When I leave in the morning, she's there. When I get home, she's there. I brought her some water the other day, and she drank almost half a bottle in one sitting- which she promptly peed all over my sheets and blankets. If I drop her on the floor or outside my room, she jumps right back up on the bed. I don't think she's eaten, but I don't want to give her food or water, because I'm afraid she'll pass it on my bed, and I figure she'll leave when she gets hungry enough. Its seriously been five days since she's been anywhere but on top of my bed. What can I do?

  1. You have to take her to the vet!! If she hasn't eaten and your to selfish to feed her for fear of the  mess get her to the vet,5 days is way to long to go without food!!! Some thing's very wrong with her!! Please get her to a vet ASAP!!!!!!!!!!!! If some thing's stopping her from eating being hungry enough won't help, after a full day she was already hungry enough!!!!!!!!!!!

  2. I used to be a vet nurse and it sounds to me like it's a territorial thing with your lovely moggy.

However, I'd be taking her to the Vet for a checkup IMMEDIATELY in case there's something more sinister afoot.

  3. TAKE HER TO A VET! this sounds serious. and put like a little piddle pad under her and give her some food! good luck to the both of you!

  4. Better see if she is breathing !

Take her to the VET for an e***a !

  5. VET, VET, VET

At a minimum the vet can check your kitty's vitals and see if there is imminent danger or this is something that can be addressed over time. If it turns out not to be serious and it is behavioral I would consider trying to steer her away from the bed or using an effective method to confine her.  Further, check the litter box to make sure it's being used, if it isn't used after even one day, two at most, there's something wrong.  They must eat and drink, and pass the waste from their food and water at least once a day.  If it's not there and not on your bed, it's a serious issue.  Everyone's saying to take the kitten to the vet, and that's because that's what you need to do.

  6. take her to the vet 4 days ago

get her to the vet now!

find a 24 hour vet and take her immediately.  Cats don't act like unless something is very, very wrong.  Something that no one can diagnose here.  Cats can survive without eating for 5 days but whatever is causing this needs to be cured.  Whatever it is seems to be bad enough that she will let herself starve.

    She absolutely needs medical attention.
