  1. well your cat is kind of old. I would just let your cat live out its final years letting it be able to relax

  2. Your kitty is a senior citizen now, but definitely not too old to play! There are many kinds of toys on the market, but you don't need to spend a fortune on cat toys!

Try balling up some aluminum foil for her to bat around, I know mine seem to enjoy anything shiny.  Laser pointers are also a big hit with most felines, and mostly anything on a stick lol. Try the dollar store and see what kind of toys they have for cats, it's an inexpensive way to try different things.

Recently I was given a new toy for my cats, it has a cardboard scratcher in the center and a plastic track with a light up ball around the outside. They push each other out of the way to play with this! Not sure how much it costs, as it was a gift from a friend.

Browse the cat toy isle at the local pet store and see if there is anything there that is different from the toys you currently have. There are all kinds of new toys out for cats.

But do remember that your kitty is an old girl now, and won't want to play as much as a young cat or kitten. Plenty of cats live well into their late teen years and even early 20's, and a happy cat is a healthy cat. So keep your friend occupied and her mind stimulated with new toys and lots of attention and love!

  3. Most cats enjoy when you play with them using a laser pointer. I think they look at it like its a bug, and most cats love to play with bugs. You just move the laser around, sometimes in a jerky motion, near your cat to get its attention, and they'll be ready to play. Works best in dimmer light. Best part is that the laser pointers are usually a reasonable price, and you can get them just about anyplace.

  4. My cat is 15 and i just massage/scratch him. Also i hide treats around my cat so he can sniff them and eat them. Thats what I do, I know its not really "playing" with him, but he enjoys it.

  5. Your cat is about 112 in human years, give or take a few.

She probably just wants to relax and enjoy your company without having to amuse you.

You must have looked after her pretty well so far, a lot of cats don't get that old.
